visual activity - game

We are sure that you have all played"Pictionary" or "taboo" at parties. Our idea is a variation of these two games adding our own twist to it! You need two volunteer students for this.
  • Stundent A gets a picture (one of the Yoga stances we have posted) but he/she should not show it to their pair. Student A describes the picture (gives instructions) to Student B and they not only have to undestand what it is but actually act it out.

  • Another easier variation to this activity is to read out the instuctions instead of describing the picture.

  • Depending on the vocabulary you want to practice / introduce, you could also write the movement verbs or body parts and have students match them to the pictures.
  • Or mix the written instuctions and match those with the given pictures.

  • You can also use the pictures to discuss sports and healthy living.

Just use your imagination and have fun!!!
